Cricket Betting at pk oke — All Formats from T20 to Test
Choose your markets across BPL, IPL and international cricket matches. Live odds, multiple betting markets and Bangladeshi payment methods — all in one place.
Cricket Formats and Tournaments
Cricket is more than just a sport for people in Bangladesh — it is a passion. Just as stadiums fill up during the BPL season, activity on online betting platforms peaks from before a match right through to the end. pk oke supports betting across three main formats.
T20: The fastest format. Each team gets only twenty overs, so the match can change face from one moment to the next. Bettors show the most interest in tournaments like BPL, IPL and the T20 World Cup. Odds can shift with every ball.
ODI: The fifty-over format lasts longer, giving bettors the opportunity to assess the situation mid-match and plan their betting accordingly. Bettors are particularly active in this format during Bangladesh Tigers matches at ICC events.
Test: This five-day format is popular among analytical bettors. Pitch conditions, weather and team balance all play an important role here. The possibility of a draw result adds variety to the available markets.
Alongside cricket, pk oke also offers betting on football and other sports, which are briefly covered on this page.
Football and Other Sports — What's the Difference?
Football is familiar to Bangladeshi bettors alongside cricket, but the betting structure of the two sports is different — cricket has no draw in T20 and ODI, whereas in football a draw is a common result. This means odds in football's three-way market (Team A win / Draw / Team B win) are distributed differently compared to cricket.
Cricket
T20 and ODI have only two outcomes (win / loss); draws are possible in Test. Over-by-over markets are available.
Football
Various markets available including three-way market, handicap lines and goals over/under. Half-time and full-time can be bet on separately.
Other Sports
Betting markets are also available for sports like tennis, badminton and kabaddi. Markets vary according to the scoring system of each sport.
Muay Thai
pk oke offers betting on Muay Thai championships. There are betting options on round, points and KO markets — read the Muay Thai Champion Betting Guide for details.
Popular Betting Markets — How Each One Works
Cricket betting includes several types of markets. The seven most common markets are explained below in plain language.
Match Winner
Which team will win the match — a straightforward two-way (T20/ODI) or three-way (Test) market. Example: in a match between Team A and Team B, if you pick Team B and Team B wins, your bet is successful.
Toss Winner
A bet on which team will win the toss. This is an independent market with no relation to the match result, though some bettors consider the toss important depending on pitch conditions.
Top Batsman
Which batter will score the most runs — within a specific team or across the whole match. Scoring rate and pitch conditions are relevant here.
Total Runs Over/Under
Whether the combined total runs of both teams will be above (over) or below (under) a set line. Example: line 315.5 — if the combined total is 316 or more, the over is successful.
Method of First Wicket
How the first wicket of the innings will fall — bowled, caught, run out, LBW or another method. This is a specialised event-based market.
Multi Bet (Multiple Selections)
Combine predictions across multiple matches or events — all selections must win for a payout. If even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost. The potential return is higher but so is the risk.
Betting Exchange (BACK and LAY)
In traditional betting you bet against the bookmaker. On an exchange you bet against other bettors — you can back a team to win (BACK) or back them not to win (LAY). Full details are on the pk oke Bet page.
Odds in Three Formats — Explained with Examples
Betting odds are expressed in three common formats: decimal, fractional and American. All three convey the same information — only the way they are written differs. Two practical examples are given below.
Example 1 — Even-chance team (Team A wins, ৳200 bet):
Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150.
If the bet wins, total return is ৳500 (৳300 profit + ৳200 original stake back). If the bet loses, ৳200 is lost.
Example 2 — Favourite team's odds (Team B wins):
Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American −200.
American minus odds mean you need to bet ৳200 to make ৳100 profit. On a ৳200 bet the total return is ৳300 (৳100 profit).
| Format | Team A (Example 1) | Team B (Example 2) |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.50 |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 1/2 |
| American | +150 | −200 |
| Return on ৳200 Bet | ৳500 | ৳300 |

Live In-Play — Odds Shift When a Wicket Falls
Live
In live betting, odds update in real time while the match is in progress. In cricket, odds adjust instantly when a wicket falls, a boundary is hit or an over ends. This gives bettors the opportunity to make a new decision after every ball.
For example, if a team's top batter gets out mid-way through a T20 match, that team's odds may rise while the opposing team's odds fall. Similarly, when the required run rate climbs or drops in the final overs, this is clearly reflected in the live odds.
In-play markets may include, beyond the match winner, markets such as runs in a specific over, the method of the next wicket and the current batter's score.
Useful Tips Before You Start Betting
Cricket betting is a form of entertainment — it is not a reliable source of income. Keeping the following tips in mind will help make the experience more structured.
- 1 Set a fixed budget and stick to it. Only set aside an amount you can afford to lose.
- 2 Rather than putting all your money on one market, spread it across different markets. Multi bets offer higher returns but carry greater risk.
- 3 Keep a general understanding of the match pitch report, recent form and team composition — this helps in reading the markets.
- 4 In-play betting requires quick decisions. Know in advance which markets you are interested in under which match situations.
- 5 Placing large bets in a hurry to recover losses is not wise. For more information, read pk oke's Responsible Gaming page.
Multi Bet Example
If three selections have decimal odds of 1.40, 1.60 and 1.90 respectively, the combined odds are:
1.40 × 1.60 × 1.90 = 4.26 (rounded).
A successful ৳100 bet returns ৳426 — but if any one selection loses, the full ৳100 is lost.
* This is a calculation example only and is not a guarantee of any actual result.
